Student Counsellor (De-addiction Specialist)

About the project: The Student Wellness Centre, IIT Bombay invites applications for two positions of Student Counselor (De-addiction Specialist). The selected candidates will play a key role in providing therapeutic support to individuals experiencing substance-use concerns and contributing to the Centre’s mission of fostering student well-being.

Essential Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or Addiction Counseling.

• Specialized training in substance abuse interventions (certificate/diploma/field experience).

• 1 year experience in one-on-one Addiction Counseling, group therapy, and relapse prevention programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate addiction severity.

• Provide individual and group counseling sessions focused on recovery.

• Design and implement personalized de-addiction interventions and relapse prevention plans.

• Work in close liaison with psychiatrists, social workers and other stakeholders for integrated care.
